I'm trying to find some cleaning solution for the interior of my car, basically there are couple of marks (like mechanic's fingerprints from some sort of motor oil) on the interior side of the windscreen pillars, if any of you have/had an e36 you'd know it has some kind of carpet/cloth material which may just get scuffed/scratched or the mark may just get worse if i just use water and scrub hard. Anyone know what i should look for when buying cleaning stuff, or how to clean it? Thanks.

I've used Meguirs All Purpose Cleaner on similar marks on my car mats and they came up a treat, it's good stuff!

i have just recently used 'FLASH STRONG WEAVE WIPES' on the same part on my E39 for oil and grease hand prints, i also used them on my head lining and they are fantastic and very cheap.
