Try DrColorchip, that can be quite effective at minimising the obviousness of stone chips on large areas....

I might try Collinite 476, whats 915 like in comparasion?

I use the 915, which is Carnauba based, I don't think the 476 is, 915 is better for darker colours, 476 for lighter colours, although the 476 lasts a shorter time, than the 915, and personally I can't really see the difference between the two...... black afterall, five minutes after you washed it looks like you'd never bothered anyways ;-)

I plan to clay my car shortly, i have a Meguiars Clay Bar Kit which ive tried on on my fathers Vectra and was impressed with the results after using Meguairs Gold Class Liquid Wax.

I use BH clay which uses only water as lube (although I use their shampoo just to be safe, the cloth test shows how effective it's been :-) ).

Id really like to try Dodo Juice Purple but the price tag and delivery charge to Ireland is £40+, now i know my big box full of car products exceed that price, but it seems a lot on just one little tub!

Try Ultimatefinish.co.uk (IIRC), they I beleive have a dodo sampler, or did have I think....

I tend to use Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo to wash the car, or Car Plan Triplewax Wash and Wax, both are detergent free and wont lift the wax.
So the wax tends to stay on for a good while.

I used two buckets, but i dont have a lambs mitt wash glove, i do have a microfibre wash sponge though, and i do usually wipe down with a cloth afterwards to shine it up nicely.
Good regime BTW, although I always wash the car down 'touchless' style first though to remove as much sh...err grit as possible first... even so....

Black trims and bumpers I use either the BMW (yes one BMW product I like) bumper gel on a sponge applicator pad.... or B2B spray and a clean cloth to shield the paint work... I use a dry non static rubber cleaner inside and use 17p a bottle cola on the wheels :-) Easy to get carried away though, spent ages doing the exhausts on the two cars not long ago, ended up laying down with cue-tips and a toothbrush.... LOL

    Thanks Tom,

What i actually do before i wash with the two buckets is run the hose over the car and use a soft brissle sweeping brush [especially for my car, never touched the ground!] and lightly wipe of the muck and heavy dirt.

Anyone living in a big town or city will get road grime on their car, but once your on country roads you get all the crap of the day on your car!

I have used a similar product to Back to Black before, spray on, and it looked great after application, but after a day or two in the rain, and then after its next wash it was more or less back to normal.
Poorboys Trim Restorer looks like it may be good.

    No worries mate.

BRUSH! (I used these cos there isn't a fainting smiley ;-) LOL).

I couldn't dream of using a brush I just use water and shampoo to soften everything gradually increasing the pressure, i.e. soft to moderately hard.....

Still if your cars got not scratches, gotta be doing something right ;-) :-)

I tend to use B2B in the summer and put 2 coats on, otherwise as you say it fades pretty quickly.... however the foaming wheel cleaner works nicely too.... :-)

    ATB,
