Please note, all pictures were taken on an iPhone 3Gs 16B with the standard camera. I'm quite happy how they turned out!
I don't have any pictures of the car pre-wash, just post-wash.
I started out by hoovering out the car, and wiping the visible dust off the dash and such. I'm not bothering with properly detailing the inside, as D-Day for the swap is approaching!
Then, I got the hose out and hosed the car off. After that I used my brand new lambswool mitt, with a bucket of meguires gold class shampoo and conditioner. I had an extra bucket filled with only water to rinse off the mitt - as advised previously by BigBenStrikes. Then hosed it all off, etc. etc. etc.
Then, I used a little product called Demon Shine. Personally, I think it is GREAT stuff. It's an effortless 'wax' shine on the car. I throw a couple of capfulls into a bucket, then fill it with cold water. Using a clean measuring jug, I pour it all over the car, making sure I don't miss anything.
Then, I used a genuine leather chamois - I think the company logo on the cardboard thing was turtle wax, but a chamois is a chamois. It was my first time using a genuine one, and I was incredibly impressed with the results.
It was pretty dark/dull at this point, as I had started pretty late in the day.
Here are the pictures:
Now, here are the pictures I produced using a little app called "Colour Splash" on my iPhone... Dead impressed:
Please note... The car looks NOTHING like that right now, I'm currently waiting for the day to clear up enough to wash it again!
