I'm thinking of fitting a couple of leds in the bottom of the door cards to act as puddle lights. My questions are has anyone on here done it? And is there a feed from inside the door that would come on when I open it or do I have to take it from my sensor?

I don't know if it makes a difference but I will also be fitting an aftermarket remote central locking device which will leave my lights on for 30 secs after locking and also has 2-3 other functions that can be fitted to things like interior lights, boot pop etc.

    Thanks.

It's a nightmare trying to run the wiring through the door wiring loom. It is possible but it is a real P.I.T.A.

I wired my neons into the courteous light wiring. That too was a headache as I didn't really understand how the circuit worked. I eventually sussed it, mainly by accident but the effect is cool. All the lights will illuminate when the doors are opened or turned on by the main switch.

I used all different size neons through the car as they were brighter than the original and the aftermarket bulbs at the time were terrible, just bulbs painted blue. Now there are numerous LED replacement bulbs on the market that are supposed to be very bright

2 x 6" lights attatched to front seats just below seat lever

1 x 6" neon attatched to underside of centre arm rest

1 x 4" neon in main courteous light

1 x 2" neon in each rear courteous light

5 x neons in boot - 2 x 6" behind front amps, 1 x 6" either side of enclosure behind fibreglass enlosure, 1 x 9" attatched to bootlid (needs repositioning so cannot be seen when bootlid is open)

Now for some more picture whoring
