    I have to post this....

I was in Tesco, Cheshunt this morning and as usual there were the hand carwash guys there plying their trade.

I came out and got in my car, looked across and there was a 15 year old Transit pick up, scabby as hell from rust being treated to a hand carwash by one of the guys. He was using a bucket and a microfibre mitt.

Can you imagine the next car he washes with that Mitt ? It'll be full of rust, paint and grit.....It sent a shudder down my spine.

If you are ever tempted .... think twice.

I never let anyone wash my cars, I always do them myself and use a bucket and sponge

I find it relaxing... well, I do now I bothered to read the part where it says not to polish in direct sunlight

Like wise, but I use a lambswool mit instead of a sponge.

X2. I use the two bucket method as well. I love the results and end up spending the next few days staring at the car.

However, don't find it therapeutic. In fact I hate washing the car!

Have had several cars with BBS cross-spokes, now those are a bad wheel to clean!

I don't properly wash it very often, but most weekends I'll get out the pressure washer and get all the dirt off so it looks pretty much clean
