Hi can anyone please tell me if the sports bumpers for the compact fit straight on to the SE without modification?
it looks to me in pictures that the pdc sensors are lower on the sport bumper leading me to think there was a different carrier or something. is this right or is it just an optical illusion?

    Hi there,
Im guessing you have a E46?
If so then yes you will need a sport bumper carrier.
    Hope this helps

thanks kenny. yes its the e46.
i spoke to the guys at mstyle and they say i can cut down my existing carrier to fit the sports bumper so happy days. Think itll have to be tints and induction first though.
bit off topic but What liter is yours? im finding it hard to find induction kits for my 318. they all seem to be for the pre 02 1.9.... i like the look of the simota but wanted a closed unit with a cold feed really

are you getting the bumpers from mstyle? because they come with all the stuff you need anyway. but yea if you can cut them down then jobs a good en.
Mine is a 2.5 but my last compact was a 2.0 and i had a green induction kit on that. Its up to you but i wouldnt bother spending big money on a enclosed induction kit because to be fair you are never really going to get big power gains if any. if you are just after a better induction noise i would just say get a normal induction kit from memory i think my green induction kit was about £75-80 and the K and N one for this one was about the same. you got some pics of your compact?

I was thinking of getting them from mstyle as they can supply them with cut outs for washer jets.
I know i wont get much if any power gains for induction but iv read loads of people saying that open units can clog the maf? Iv got some pics iv tried to upload without success but ill try upload them again later. Hoping to have got my coilovers delivered to fit by the weekend so will have more when theyre on and shes cleaned up!

I thought that the carriers are included in the full kit from them... could be wrong tho ha ha. what clogs the maf up is the oil that the filters use i think... well i had my green induction kit on my 318ti for two years and 30,000 miles and never had a problem. when i cleaned the filter all i did was blow it out i never re-oiled it tho. What coilovers you gone for? have you tinted your back lights?

Thanks mate. i think there extra but cutting the original down is all good.
From my knowledge (purely based on internet searches at the moment....) the green ones dont use oil. i may be wrong. But if youve had a k&n and had no problems then i think thats maybe the way to go. Have you set it up with a heat shield? thats a problem i could see from having a cone rather than a closed unit. i saw a picture of a closed bmc unit hooked up to the original air intake from the grills. looked like a good idea.

Iv gone for the ta technix coilovers from Hottuning. Cheap i know but unfortunately i cant afford to splash out for a decent set :(
hoping theyll be alright, if not i hope i can get a good price for resale on ebay haha theres been a couple of people on here that have got them i think and no ones slated them yet. so theres still hope for me. ha
