I done mine a few weeks ago. My beamer's black and I wanted to get rid of the crappy chrome.

I think it looks more aggressive, but that's just my opinion.

    Word of advice though.
BE GENTLE WHEN TAKING THE GRILLE OUT.

I cant stress this enough, the tabs holding it in are very brittle. I broke mine and had to buy more grills.

    Here's a pic of mine.

sorry Mac but i think we might have our wires crossed, i was talkin about colour coding the slats in the grill itself, not the chrome outer part

I think doing the slats would only look good on brighter cars (like the skoda is a kind of bright blue) with bigger grills, then it gives it that old skool finish. and then its all down to taste whether you like that or not. Personally, im just gona colour code the outer crome bit, to montreal blue, like the rest of the car.

LOL, I know it doesn't make much difference, but I sprayed the slats on mine too, didn't like the dull plastic so gave em a few coats.

Like gap141070 said, it would look better coding the chrome aswell as it would blend in better.

    But thats just my opinion.
