    Leave a hot wet towel over the etching mate, it'll let the lime out. Do this for a couple of days and the mark should be less visible. If its still there that means the bird shit must have been on your car for ages and wet sanding is the only option. If you have a rotary its a 5min job.

    As Sham said mate, that's quite an old school technique for getting them less visable. I would also change your wax to a decent hard wax! Collonite 476, with 2 - 3 coats keeps all but the worst acidic shite from getting to your clear coat. I always carry a couple of microfiber towels and some quick detailer in the boot so I can get them off straight away to stop them etching the laquer.

    This has been covered a good couple of times over on detailing world. May be worth having a nosy there!

    Somehow I manage to get the same! I love about an hour in land also! Saw a few looking at me and my BBQ yesterday! Just because I didnt share my steaks they bombed my car! Damn creatures! Please anti seagul polish! :O
