Sorry if this is a repost, please let me know if this has all been asked before but I was hoping for a poll.

I am interested to find out how many people actually own buffing/polishing machines or use elbow grease to do all the work?

A poll would be great and for those of you that use machinery perhaps you could make a note of what machine you use?

I am new to this forum and want to under go my "mini detail" but want to ensure I am fully prepared and while it's cetainly possible to do it all manually wondering what the practicality of this was/compared to how many people do actually do it!

    Regards,

Elbow grease is fine if you already have a nice, flat clean base to start with but machine polishing is certainly won't do any harm after a winter or if you have to park your car in a hostile environment or maybe at the side of the road.

Like the guide says, you have very little chance of actually correcting paint defects by hand, mask them you might be able to , but fully correct no.

Added the poll, just read the detailing guide from the S2000 owners - great read!

Think I'll get it done by the pro's first hand to ensure the job is done properly and to the best of its ability and then start investing in my own products to maintain the finish!

Now the poll has arrived I voted for 'Nope I believe in hard work' but if 'Nope because I dont have a buffer but would because I'm bone' was available I would have voted that.
