personally i would do some searching on the forum first as polishing is different to sealing and waxing.
washing takes most of the dirt of.
polishing takes a small amount of clear coat back depending on hand or machine applied
    waxing protects polished surface.

as a polished surface will still attract the dirt hence why you feel it needs polishing each time a good wax or some zymol will work wonders and protect your car.and save you a fortune in Autoglym super resin. polish then wax.

I would go with a good prewash, clay and then wash, followed by a polish and then a good coat of wax, then next couple of washes just apply a bit more wax.

There are more hardcore detailers than me but once you've built up a few good layers of wax then it should wash nice and easy with just a quick dry and detail the black bits and tryes!

Check out some of Autobrite Direct's posts as they have some great products, I use their stuff and they produce great results.

    All the best
