It was to be brought in last year, but after some searching it seems to have been passed on for now.
I was working at a local car shop that did tinting and we had a few nice visits from the
local traffic police telling us so.
If his information is wrong then i apologise, he also told me that they are trying to pass a law to outlaw
aftermarket HID headlight kits which has me worried as mine has them fitted.

Anyhoo here is my findings on the tints

Excessively tinted glass is seen as a serious issue but one which
currently affects only a small number of the 24 million vehicles
tested annually. To include this item in the MOT test would require
all 18,000 garages to incur expenditure on special test equipment
and the time taken to carry out an MOT would increase. The MOT
fee would have to be raised to cover the extra time and investment.
This extra cost would affect all motorists - all for a small number of
vehicles. With the current levels of offending, roadside enforcement
is a better route as it targets the offenders while minimising the
cost and inconvenience to compliant road users.

seems like my photoshop thread has gone way off track.

Anyways i wont be getting tints i dont think, even if i did id get light smoke as i have red leather interior and i like to be able to see them through the windows as i think they look good.

It was mainly the wheels and lowering i wanted to see

I would lower it but not too much, i'd go for a 25% tint and i would leave the wheels or go for a graphite grey instead of black.

PS sorry for going off topic.
