I had to take my car to a local bodyshop to have scratches removed from birds feeding on my car
they had to use the electic mop with a cutting compound (g3) before buffing it up
now the scratches are gone ,cost me £60 but was money well spent
so look around for a good bodyshop and depending on the level of scratch if done rite should'nt be noticable after

    sent using motorola xoom

Was going to ask the same question, till I noticed a thread already open.

I have a few lights scratches on my 2010 M Sport, Titanium Silver. Meguires Scratch X lasts about a day then the scratch is noticeable again.

Is Colour Magic a better option for a longer lasting solution in this particular colour?

NO MATE, colour magic ain't gonna impress .

I'd suggest you take a look at the detailing handbook for further info

    http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=66024

If you don't have rotary polisher (or DA polisher) I'd suggest you use "Meguiars Professional Speed Glaze #80" try this as it gives best results by hand i've experienced. Scratch removal, no marring and perfect shine.

    http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/19053...Types&var=sbar

It has a cut rating of 4/10 so is quite safe and also works well with the rotary of course.

They also offer a "Dual Action Cleaner Polish #83" with 6/10 cut but not suitable for hand use

    http://www.waxyclean.co.uk/meguiars-...ish-946ml.html

and like-wise with 10/10 cut rating " Professional Ultra Cut Compound" - care needed

    http://www.performancemotorcare.com/...und_946ml.html

Once you get the paint nice then they also offer a non-abrasive "show car glaze #7" for the perfectionist, like me , however, I can honestly say you do not need to use this if you use the speed glaze followed by a good wax eg Meguiars "Hi Tech Yellow Wax #26.

    Hope that helps.

I took my car to the local body shop, who has done an excellent job. He charged me £60 and it looks percect. I think he put on some hand paint and polished it. Took him about 45 mins. He gave me atleast 3 yr warranty for his job.
