    Hi all,
Quite eager to get some expert opinion for a DIY job!! If you look at the pictures the problem would be self explanatory. The chrome around the windows was painted black & i like the look. Unfortunately was a cheap paint job and its peeling. I want to take it up as a DIY project. Any "expert" help in how i go abt doing it please? I was thinking abt sanding it down completely. Newspaper & masking tape all around it, spray with a primer (From a can) and spray with a black paint (Ready made can)...Or is this completely the wrong way to go abt it?

Honest help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thx all

PS: Never done a paint job ever before

i have seen kits where you apply a film around the trimmings! this will never peel off the chrome and its cheaper than buying paints. i agree the chrome looks dated, its on my e46 and i hate it
