    im putting new brake pads all round on my GREEN e46 i noticed that the calipers are very grubby i might repaint them i would like to do them in red do you think this will look o.k or a bit chavvy honest opinions please?

    red and green should never be seen lol.

    I think a nice high contrast silver would look good mate.

    If you are concerned about the look of your callipers then like you said paint them black. I cleaned mine up and used a black heat resistant spray paint

    I can understand completely why this is being discussed. Due to the brake components getting hot and being subject to the elements they become rusty on the surface. When alloys are fitted the brakes are on show and the rust is very visible and creates an eyesore.

    The heat resistant spray I used was a dull/matt black. I think a gloss finish may also attract attention.

    Unless it's a big brake conversion the idea is not to attract attention to them

    my alloys are'nt the best m8 you have to get riight up close to see the calipers but i could'nt live with myself puttin new pads into tired looking calipers i just want to tart em up a bit black ftw! pics l8a
