So i washed the car today and decided to try some methods discussed on here via various threads. Finished washing the car and used the open hose on it. Brilliant results. Left minimal water on there and so NO water marks at all! Also used a mf to dry the car instead of a chamois! I'm throwing my chamois away!!! Seriously the mf is so easy to use. Chamois take a lot of effort by the mf just glides over the paint. So much so that the risk of scratching it lessened cause there is less force pushing the cloth along.

Anyway point of the thread it to say thanks for the tips being picked up on washing / cleaning etc and also to highlight the open hose trick. Not sure if many realise this simple yet effective trick or may be its just me who is so far in the dinosaur age!

Whilst on anybody ever really give the bmw cleaning products a go or heard any reviews about them? The bmw hard wax i used today (got it on the cheap and using it until i get the da polisher to detail the car then start using colli) left the cloth really dirty...meaning it was actually cleaning the paint as i was applying it onto the car. Its the same with the leather care...after applying it to the seats the cloth was filthy and this is after giving the seats a good clean with the ag stuff!

Yeah no attachment so no splashing. Just use the hose without the attachment and let it gently run onto the car. Start at the top and work yr way down each panel.
