i think the way they are made legal is if they have reflective lettering or something?? its the way they are manufactored that makes them legal! shouldn't have any MOT problems or get any griefs off police with nothing better to do!
i personally think the silver ones look quite tacky, buts its all down to personal taste! only thing i wasn't sure about on the ones i got was the alpina badges cos its misrepresentation lol!
i'll take some pics of mine tomorrow and add them.. if its not raining (won't hold my breath!!)
I get what you mean about the alpina badge, wonder if it could be removed, or even painted over before they were fitted

Good addtion to your car it looks proper mean now. However arnt those lettering illegal? and can you only have the surrounding done and not the lettering on the numberplate.
its not different lettering mate, they are pressed aluminium plates. they all have that lettering and they are 100% legal!
if you don't want pressed plates you can just buy the surrounds and put your normal plates in them!
