Well i have decided to splash out and buy a snow foam lance for my car and also a pressure washer and thought I may be able to catch a Pressure washer in the sale.

I did a search on the the forum yesturday for pressure washer topics and saw some of the ones recomended. However, since it is January there is a possiblity that I could get a pressure washer that is just as good but for a cheaper price (hopefully).

While looking I found this one.

    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...Id_165689#dtab

But what is the difference between that one and this one

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/K%C3%A4rcher...6792754&sr=1-2

All i want it to do is be usable with a snow foam lance

Cheers for any help on this topic as I know nothing of pressure washers apart from that alot of them seem to be yellow and that people seem to like Karcher ones.

Most are useable with a snow foam lance as CYC do different fittings. As for which pressure washer to buy...i had a £200 Karcher washer that lasted 6 months and sent it off to be repaired. Bought a £30 cheapy from Halfords whilst i waited for it to return and the Halfords one is still going 2 years later

Karcher never could get my one working and offered me a refund or replacement [ which is very good of them]

Thats what i was thinking. Read alot of the toppics and peoples views and it seems alot of people buy a seperate foam lance like the one i linked in my first post. I am trying to spend as little as possible yet get a good washer hence me waiting till now, sale time. However, if I have to spend money to get a good washer than so be it.

I think he bought his foam lance of ebay for £20 delivered. I use it more than him but if I did have a choice to buy one, i'd go for that one.

Is there a maximum pressure you should look for which will not damage the paintwork or alloy wheels?

    Thanks

Thanks for the advise but I already bought my gear. I went to Cleanyourcar and bought some car wash and snow foam lance then bought a karcher pressure washer from halfords in the sale.

Gave it a go on new years day. Sadly it was too cold to take pictures. Lovely bit of kit mind. Makes cleaning the car so much fun :P
