My Z4 seats have seen better days as it seems that the previous owner worn them in too much fading all the dye out.

I bought dome dynamix dye which cost me £35 but I only got 65ml which was no where near enough, plus didnt go on too well.

So I bought some Scuffmaster form Liquid leather which was only £19 for 250ml!!!! I spoke to an expert detailer who is well known on Pistonheads for his work on exotica and he told me not to apply the paint neat [like the manufacturers state] but to water it down quite a lot then apply a load of thin layers.

I managed to get my passenger seat done today! Took me around 7 thin coats.

I now have to do the drivers side and the hand brake.

I didnt do a before on the pass seat but it looked identical to my drivers seat:-

This is how it looks now [before conditioning as I have to wait a day or two before applying].

good results!! - but you normally clean, condition and then dye?.. you said you've dyed and then you're going to condition? the leather is meant to be cleaned and soft (i.e. conditioned) prior to adding the dye.

I've used liquid leather a few times on different cars and did this write up to help others:

    Restoring leather interior (Liquid Leather)

never been disappointed with the results!
