    Hello

My first post on Bimmerforums (I am yet to post the introduction!) but was eager to get this one out of the way!

I recently (last week) bought a 2000 E39 525i Auto (which was very well looked after by the previous 1 owner keeper!) and me being eager to get it washed and cleaned (without resorting to the 'Hand Car Wash' places you get for £15) decided to wash the car myself and spend an extortionate amount in Halfords! I probably have got them cheaper from Ebay or specialist car care places.. So I am in the process of acquiring my car care products and would like your thoughts as to what else I may need and where to buy and on what I have bought already...

    Currently purchased yesterday from Halfords....

Meguiars Golden Class Shampoo and Conditioner
(How good is this?) I read that it is reasonable.

Meguiars Large Microfibre Wash Mit - Is it best to have just 1 or 2?

    Meguiars Water Magnet Drying Towel

Halfords Large Leather Chamois - not synthetic!
(This seems to have acquired black mud/dirt stains in just one use - Is this just dirt of do the chamois tend to wear out easily and it's best to have a large collection?)

Flash Sheepskin Wheel Brush - Not particularly Good, will replace!

Selection of microfibre cloths for interior and exterior use

I also realised that I didn't buy any interior products, tyre dressing, dashboard dressing etc or glass cleaner so had to resort to using windowleane glass cleaner £1.79 from the local shop .. I would appreciate any suggestions on some of this stuff?

    Any comments..?

    Thanks
