I've finally got the bay to look like how I want it to and thought I'd slap some more pics up. Now the washer bottle and power steering fluid bottle cleaned and as much of the bay has been t-cut and waxed as I could reach.

The intake manifold was wire brushed, then sanded starting with 60 grit and moving gradually up to 800 grit dry, then 1000 grit up to 1400 grit wet, then I went to a sisal mop, soft mop and a buffing mop, then finally Autosol applied with newsprint. Then masked off the bits I wanted to keep shiny and painted the rest. Reckon it turned out ok.

The rest of the bay paintwork was in a poor condition. I don't think it had ever been cleaned so the original black t-cut was put to use. I would rarely use t-cut on bodywork cuz I think it's too abrasive but I'd never seen paintwork this dull!! So after t-cutting for about 2 hours per side, I then used G3 to reduce the damage the t-cut had done, then cleaned it up with Mequires Paint Cleaner and finally waxed it using Mequires Cleaner Wax.

I did laugh at Plumbs comment about being "tiny and shiny"!! Quality
