IMHO I don't always appreciate the look of a bonnet bra (and there are times I do think they look ok on a car), but I wish I had one on my car when I drove all the way to Germany and back as I got loads of stone chips on the leading edge of my bonnet. Okay I also got chips on my wing mirrors and a few on the grill panel, but I could have saved myself a lot more hassle if I just had a bonnet bra just for the journey.

So... regardless of looks, I'm going to buy one and I just have to make sure I take it off when I go to meets

Avoid driving behind a lorry with loose shit next time my man :-)

However, they look ugly. More of a trend in the USA.

I lived in the US for four years, and bonnet bras were hugely popular over there.

They were one of the things, along with the Dodge Neon, that I hoped I'd never see again when I moved back to the UK. Horrible things! I'd much rather see a stonechipped bonnet than one of those.

Remember, in life there are very few exceptions to the rule that everything is better once all bras are removed.

Im all for bra's .. look good and do a good job of protecting the bonnet ... had mine on for over two years and 2-3 months at a time through winter and all sorts .. never had problem with paint marring or stains ..
