    It is a good product.

You can use a very dilute car shampoo as lubricant.

Used it myself Tommo, good stuff, just remember to not use the whole bar at once but break it into sections as if you do drop it the best thing is to chuck that piece as it may have grit etc on it and will do more harm than good. As mark stated I used no lube just a weak car shampoo mixture.

I'd save the Quick detailer spray TBH and use the diluted shampoo lube......well worth the effort.

Remember to keep the clay (unless you dropped it) as its great on wheels and glass !

I used one of those Meguiars clay kits on my new car a couple of months ago. Nervous as hell about damaging my paintwork, but I was very happy with the results. The car looked better than new after waxing. After the clay I used Dodo juice lime prime paint cleaner then Swissvax wax. Stunning!

With the clay the secret is to use plenty of lube and don't try to do too big an area at once.

its a good first step into claying, easy to use, cheap and good results!

may be worth moving onto the dodo juice clay then, thats excellent stuff!

Didn't know about using diluted shampoo with the meguairs kit, nice tip that one Makr! (far more cost effective to use in this case).

BTW - any ideas on which shampoo type is best used in conjuction with the clay and the dilute ratio? (e.g typical wash n wax shampoo or justjusta straight car was shapoo with no waxes in it?)

As for the Meguiars clay kit, don't be afraid to use it, search yourtube for the meguairs 'how to clay' video which is what I used, don't use excessive pressure, and be sure to work in modertate sized sections at a time and wipe as you go.

what's claying actually meant to be used for, what circumstances, primarily to remove the swirl marks on paint or is it good for light scratches after tcutting?

will it remove light scratches from windows??

claying wont remove scratches unfortunately.. just cleans the paintwork and makes it smooth as glass!!
