    Hi all,

I have a Kestrel Dual-Action Machine Polisher and need a new 6" backing plate. As the velcro on mine has came off from the plate.

However, I have noticed that the backing plate I have has a screw attachment and when compared to others they just have an empty bolt (so your machine has to have the screw, in-order for you to attach what you want). So basically, mine is visca-versa.

Where could I find such a backing plate for my machine???

Also some new pads would be nice!! Which ones would you recommend??

    Many thanks,

    BMW 840ci

After trying some cheaper pads I've ordered a selection from here that are really quite good:

I've got the same machine as you and never thought about the backing plate so will have a dig around.

The machines that have the m14 bolt are normally orbital polishers mate and the heads come fixed on a backing plate unless you want a hook and loop system. The DA's have the thread in the backing plate. I don't think you'd be able to do what you want.

OneDesi - which pads did you get from 3m? I can recommend the blue and yellow waffle pads in their range

    Thanks Sam,

However, I'm looking for a 6" Backing Plate for a DA Polisher. I've found some on eBay for £15, is that the price??
