it's all a matter of opinion, i think it would look alright if your car is fitted with m tech kit, the main thing i think looks tacky is when people drive around in a 316 or something with an m3 badge!

Ice, post some pics of your car, I'll chuck some badges on in photoshop so you can see what it looks like.

It's subjective and down to personal preference. An M badge on the boot lid would look ok as your car is a sport (M-Sport?) anyway as opposed to being an M-Car (M3, M5 etc..) and will already have several M badges already on the wheels and interior (steering wheel, sill kick plates etc. I personally wouldn't put one on the front grilles as I don't think it looks good on the kidney grilles on any BMW. The only time I think it looks ok is on the front is on the E30 and E34 when they had the bigger grilles.
    To do: Far too much.....

Me: 04 E46 320d Sport in Titan Silver

The Mrs: 59 E92 320d Sport in Space Grey....now replaced by a 61 plate Z4 2.0L S-drive M-Sport in Deep Sea Blue with beige leather

    I'm just a lottery win away from that 335i.........and a Series 3 Discovery..........and an old Mini.........and an E30 325i........
