I've been looking into tinting my headlights to make my car look mean and moody and go for the murdered out look. I think that gun-smoke laminex is the way to go but I want your oppinions.

This is my front end as it stands atm

    Tinted headlights (photoshop)

    And tinted headlights and fogs

    What do you reckon?

They look pretty cool but is there any legal issue with tinting them?

I dont think there is a legal issue as people do tint rear lights, as long as they are the same brightness then I don't think there is an issue, I am just guessing btw

it does look mean mate, but i think a lighter smoke maybe better, as it looks a little to much imo

Hi IMHO I like the fully tinted look. It looks aggressive.

FYI Headlight tinting is NOT street legal. Just like having under body car neons on while your on a public street, the police do have the right to pull you over and give you a ticket :(

(Info provided by my cousin who just so happens to be a police office lol)

In saying that if you leave the glass untinted and lightly smoke the inner light glass of each light then you can get a pretty good 'blackout' effect. (seen it done and looks good, and because the outer glass isn't tinted it stays 'legal' cough cough lol)

Lamin-x own site says that it is legal because it doesn't affect light output. it was designed for motorsport application and especially for lights so isn't a window film or cheap spray.

The car is also in the process of getting 6000ki HID's and 5000k CCFL angel eyes
