I had a small 1cm x 1cm area of exposed paint on my cosmos black e39. When power washing it ealier today i totally forgot about this affected area, and the power was has increased it to more like 3cm x 3cm. It sticks out as the car is black (high reflections)

The problem is the affected panel is the back panel further on from the rear door (so the panel as a component goes right over the doors toward the bonnet.

This makes a full sand, paint and lacquer job too expensive given that i am selling the car.

Would there be a body shop that could just treat the affected area and blend the new lacquer with the existing? the paint is un marked, its just the lacquer that has peeled.

Should be no problem as i have just had some lacquer re-done on the drivers door. Should be cheap as chips as well...
    Good luck with it!
