    hi all,
I drive a e46 318 M-Sport and im looking at changing the exhaust system as the standard one is abit small and lifeless.

At first i was just looking for a one sided system with either double tips or a single oval tip. but then i came accross inside performance who sell a m3 style quad system with a M-Sport diffuser to fit, i emailed them to get pictures off how the system fits round the spare wheel and they refused to give me them, but after some forum searching i came across some.

What i would like to know is, by having a quad system would the engine lose much back pressure resulting in a drop in power? and is this system abit m3 wanabe-ish, i think it looks very oem to be fair, but what are your oppinions on it?

    heres some pictures off it:

Yeah got it in one, a bit too M3 wannabee.

I would consider twin exits (ie one each side) rather than 2 each side, nice, sporting but not the same as the M3, something like the 335 twin set up???

but hey its your car so if you like it that is all that maters!!

it does look good on any 3 series, but the money you pay out for the modification, and when you try to sell the vehicle one day it would make it harder because people will think its been raced if you will keep the vehicle for many years to come and keep adding mods, after mods then have it done to make it more diffrent.

Inside performance does have a website, google it and I think it's the 2nd link, it's all in german I think when you look at the link on google but the website is translated.

I can get the exhaust made for about £350 I think he said, just the diffuser is a dear doo. I have thought about it more and I have narrowed it down to the quads or a single oval type like the 5series m sports.

I recon there would be a drop in performance running quads mind due to loss in back pressure by having two escape roots. Surely someone on here us running this set up?

Are you wanting quad exhausts that actually work ?

Im just thinking you could always get them to block up the extension so it has the looks etc but no loss in back pressure.

    Just a thought.

is that £350 including the rear diffuser?
because if not there is a company that makes them for £150 on ebay. Im sure they could put different tips on if you wanted them changed.

heres the address if your interested. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/QUAD-M3-STYLE-...#ht_1253wt_900

Nice twin 3" set up would look better IMO, more of an OEM+ look, be just like an Alpina that way
