I plan on building a very wide bodykit for my E36. Ive seen alot of wild bodykits. One was on a '93 Civic and was 30cm wider on each side. How would I go about extending the wheel out to this width? Please dont say wheel spacers as that just crazy!

    Longer axles mabe?

    Thanks .

It would be specially manufactured spacers i'm afraid. They would bolt to your hub and then the wheel would bolt to the spacer.

The other option would be to try and use a wheel with from another model or have a wheel specially made

you could adjust the width by playing about with wheel offset(et)
maybe fit an e46 m3 wheel to take the face outwards...whether it'd fill the arch you have in mind is debatable...other than that you would be looking at 3 piece wheels and lotsa money.

They probably did but a mini is alot less wider than the Honda. What car do you know of that would be that much wider than your beemer?

Where the hell would you park it?

Have you looked at the Zeemax kits that they do for the beemer?

Yea I have seen the zeemax kits and I do like them.. Lol I guess your right about that maybe 30 cm each side would be too big ma bad

Just dont want to revert to having to use spacers cos it will wank the handling and screw the bearings faster.

Zeemax website shows some realli nice deep dish rims but even they dont come out that far say for eg: I did have the cash would it actual be possible to have things made where the hub cud be extended out? or bigger arms?

Thanks for all the previous replies by the way

It's the only kit I can think of that gives alot more width to the car. Very dated kit these days though

if your pockets are deep enough then anything is possible.
    maybe just not viable though.

I look at my car and compare it to cars that have super duper whoopy wow kits on and I personally think that I have acheived far more then they have and not had to butcher a single panel on my car.

Most of the kits will be fibreglass that will flex or even crack which will mean no end to visits to the bodyshop for rectification work
