Well the deed is done (I'll get some pics up tomorrow) and I have to admit I'm pleased with the results, glad I went to the effort.

The blue is deeper now and I think the change is due to removing the rosa. There is less gloss now but the flecks really are spangly and it's just a nicer finish.

My back hurts so but I'm happy - what Id like to know now is, to keep this condition I guess I have to strip the wax in 2-3 months but no need to polish using menzerna final finish and rewax?

Also, is there a product to use in between to keep the wax looking good?

What is the best approach chaps?

Nice one, i'll await the pics

To keep the finish just use a quick detailer after washes to help drying and to top up the protection. And no need to strip the wax, just top it up every so often - I do mine monthly.

I used the Rosa today on my car as the weather was good and I needed more gloss/less protection. I'll take some pics tomorrow and show you how good that product can look on a black car

Thanks sham and I'll look forward to pics, I got a bottle of rosa lying around never to be used :(

I didn't realise I could just top up the wax, so just a thorough wash needed?

Any particular that you'd recommend e.g. Dodo Juice red mist, megs summat or other?

using hd cleanse before wax always works well imo to promote shine, i also go with a couple of layers of wax to ensure even coverage and deep shine.
As for top ups between waxes the best i have used are Zymols field glaze or Optimums car wax, as they are wax based and will not degrade your existing wax coat, products such as red mist and z8 etc are spray sealants and contain to many solvents that will strip your wax coat

Just some quick shots for you of AG UDS applied by hand and 3M Rosa on a 50388 blue waffle pad applied by a rotary at the slowest speed. Been two days and parked outside so a bit dusty but the 3M is doing its job..

And an old one of the front.. About two years ago

I see what you mean, the bonnet and first shots are stunning - your car looks amazin

The reflection on the first shot is like a photo (if that makes sense).

I'm hoping you can see a difference on the pics of my car on this thread and the previous one.

    Thanks Sham
