    Hi
I have a 2002, 320d SE Touring. The bottom right hand corner of the tailgate opening window is catching the bodywork and damaging the paintwork.

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the window, it needs lifting slightly.

    Martin

Can you take a picture and post it? I'm guessing you should be able to adjust the window on the hinges.

I notice in this link here they do a spacer plate http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...20&hg=41&fg=60, I've never had to do any work on the rear of one of these unfortunately but I would be inclined to see if there's any adjustment on the hinges or whether there's a spacer plate missing

Thanks for the info, I just need the rain to stop before I can have another look.
I have only just got round to sorting my door leak out, you originally gave me advice back in May. 1991 E36 318i - Ive sprung a leak HELP!
Your diagnosis was correct someone had not fitted the weather shield back correctly. Its been well and truly tested today, with very heavy rain it seems to have solved the problem. Thanks again.

Back to the Tailgate window. I didn't see any way of adjusting the hinge but I think I saw a packing piece, I will have another look as soon as I can.
I take it that if you add a packing piece it would lift the window away from the bodywork.

Good to hear the weather shield tip did the trick, they are really common, I'm intrigued now to see the window hinges, There must be a simple fix , I shall inquire about it
