The Karcher jet wash is great for cleaning underneath and in arches but I dont use it much on the paint just a little snow foaming when I can be assed to put it all together, if the car is really dirty grit, mud n salt on the car and you take a pressure washer to it your baisically sand blasting your paint, not good lol.

Having said that the Karcher pressure washer I have has an adjustable lance so you can adjust the pressure down but then you might just as well have a hose lol.
Car is now up for sale due to timewasters. offers above just £1000 please...............

Yeah that is very true...In Leicester we have loads of hand car washes where they use jet washes...I wonder if they ever get complaints about paintwork damages...

    Both! Let me explain......

I have a typical £200 odd Karcher pressure washer connected to a hose pipe. The old hose started to split and tear probably due to the pressure build up around the kinks. I have now bought a Hozelock kevlar reinforced anti kink/split/tear with an umpteen year warranty hosepipe from argos (£34.99) and its works sport on, no kinks, no pressure issues, extremely robust, expensive but worth it.

If you get a hosepipe get the Hozelock one above, you won't regret it and any pressure washer will attach to it (you will need a hose in good condition to connect to a pressure washer anyway).

oh yes ...go for a hose and pressure washer...i got a karcher 670m...its massive and the pressure can be adjusted via the lance.

To get rid or salt / mud under the arches you really do need a pressure washer...

also i bought this : http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washin.../prod_335.html (sorry cant remember to do the link thing.)

its good for the pre wash and if you use aqua wax...its great as a finish rinse

    Happy cleaning
