right then guys, i have a prob with my body work, it looks pretty much immaculate however when the sun's shining on my car at a certain angle its terrible, it looks like someones rubbed a p2000 all over it in one direction, most of the scratches go one way, its always been so hignly polished ive never really noticed it but now i havent had a chance to polish it in a while its becoming alot more evident, any reccomendations people? also, the car is boston green

Probably going to require machine polishing either by getting hold of some kit and learning yourself, or paying a local detailer to take care of it for you. The latter could be a good investment as most detailers would be prepared to show you how to was and take care of a car to minimise that kind of damage in the future.

there are detailers around who don't charge the earth mate..

when I got my car it was an absolute state and although I've done machine polishing in the past and do own all the kit needed I decided it was beyond my skills and really couldn't be assed so used a local guy my mate told me about from a VW forum.. charged me £150 for complete 2 day detail, results were amazing.. far better than I could have done in 2 weeks!

I have a machine polisher which limits the amount of rub and swirl marks i get but doesn't completely stop them as I'm not a pro with it :(. Also have to be carefully with the higher powered ones as Ive heard they can burn through paint if not used properly. I take mine every 6 months to be done professionally as i find after 6 months it needs a bit of TLC from the pros.

http://www.kdskeltec.co.uk/ if your around that area i fully recommend them done mine a few weeks back and it came out looking like new paint not a single swirl mark on it.
