Mylo, just this afternoon, I filed, buffed and painted my two rear wheel arches, which were suffering from minor corrosion <here>. From the sounds of yours, it sounds like it will be a very similar scenario. You can see it's very minor. I sorted it out with a stick of touch-up paint (< £10) from a BMW main dealer, some sandpaper, and a file. I bought a pot of Isopon P-40, but ended up not using it. Obviously, it's not as good a job as a bodyshop would do, but for well under 20 quid, it's worth considering. You would never notice it either, unless you were looking for it. But if you're thinking of putting it into the shop, first consider this; you can afford to try it yourself and make an arse of it, and if you do, then just put it into the shop anyway. It's worth having a go, big savings to be had! And, frankly, probably a damn sight more satisfaction!

    Go on............
