    Hey y'all,

Okay this morning I've noticed that one of my lights (dipped/low beam) has blown. Admittedly, these were those cheap lights with a tinge of blue from eBay but I loved the colour produced and made the car look awesome, especially at night with my orange sidelights. But it only lasted for approx. 2 months. I would like to know if there are any good headlamp bulbs from Halfords that I can use, as I do not fancy changing my bulbs every 2 months or so.

Have you got any on your car or have you seen a friend's car with them? Ideally, I would like white/tinge of blue bulbs but not the normal halogen ones.

    Thanks in advance!

You won't get the white light from Halfords bulbs, maybe more light on the road but they give "custard" colour, I've tried loads of bulbs, osram give about the most light but not found anything as white as the EBay specials.

Oh I see.....hmmm that's a shame. I really liked the tinge of blue from ebay lights but the reliability of them is an issue.

Halfords bulbs are feckin expensive too, you could get some more eBay jobbies and some spares for the same money. I've had some cheap eBay ones in my main beams for over a year, maybe you were just unlucky!

Yeah, the price is kinda putting me of from getting them from Halfords.

Can you see a difference between yours and a normal bulb? In terms of behind the wheel and outside of the car?

Check out AndyBuck's project thread as he recently bought some decent white bulbs from, as said earlier, ebay
