    Cheers chaps

I'll probably regret asking but to lower the car is it a new set of shocks or springs or both?

Only reason I ask is I had new shocks on the front last year.

Good news is that your shocks can stay, only springs needed!
Go for a decent brand, eibach pro's are a popular brand with BM's.

It is recommended that if you lower the car 40mm or lower then you change the shocks due to the reduced spring deflection being too much for standard shock absorbers and eventually renders the shock absorber knackered.

You won't need to change shocks mate, 40/50mm is fine on standard shocks..

My cars lowered 50mm at the front and 35mm at the back on standard BMW M Sport shocks and it's perfectly fine

Don't get cheap unknown brand springs though, eibach pro's are great but don't lower much.. I'd say go for H&R, weitec, spax or KW..

Oh this is going to get expensive (I can see my M3 disappearing into the horizon ).

I like the sound of lowering her - the front definitely sits too high for my liking, do I really need to drop the back as it doesn't look like there is much space on the back? I don't want the wheels to rub.

I guess I need an Indy dealer to fit the springs?

Does anybody know what model of spring i need to buy e.g. If I bought eibach then which product? A weblink would be great

I have to admit I've been seriously think about selling to get an M3 but no idea of value and also I think im too attached to her

I'm guessing you mean the M sport badge as if you mean the transformer logo there is absolutely no chance of that, my youngest will bury me
