...and purely in town, I get about 25-28mpg and on the motorway - cruising at say 80mph, 35mpg. Not bad for a silky smooth, 6-cylinder petrol engine!

I used to average 29 in my old 320ci, I used to average 31 in my 330ci sport. That was mixed motorway a road and town driving. A straight 6 is always gonna be on the juicy side round town.

is it me (as I'm used to diesels) but that's crap LOL

Although a diesel is about 2k out of my price range so I will probably have to go for the Petrol. I have two choices - 03 plate, 62k miles, auto or 53 plate, 69k miles, manual
Both same colours, spec, etc and £250 difference in price.

Not to start the petrol vs diesel thing....

But if you want economy and do enough miles to justify it, get a 330d manual, drive it like a fu*king hooligan, everywhere, all the time, and get 37mpg.

Want more fun, remap it and di*k on most anything else you come across on the road.
