It's a mot failure in 2012,Ronnie might tell you better but I think tint not of oem is a mot failure so goodbye light tinting spray jobs etc

ordered my fly eye kit early last week and recieved it on thursday. i ordered black 1 for the back lights of my compact. In the paperwork it says that for the new mot you only need 50% of the light shining through and 50% of the reflection working or summert and if you have seen the fly eye kits they have loads of holes in em so basically it will only be 50% of the light that is blocked. i will put pics up tomorrow as im hopefully going to get em done tomorrow
and if i have to take em of for mot they only cost a tenner and come with an applicator and scalpel. so it will be worth it for the best part of 12months

    hope this helps kenny

I've had mine on for quite some time now, no trouble fitting a little heat soon makes the bends and curves easier to stick. as long as you don't break any of the mesh then cleaning it isnt a hassle, don't wax it though it seems to stain the mesh although i haven't really attempted to clean it much. Has been through all manner of car washes from thehand ones to the mechanical and no issues. Not sure on the legal side I have Emailed them though without answer as yet, As said it emits 50% pure light so in theory should be ok rather than the 100% tint that minimises all of the lens cover.

    couple of pics for you.

was about to put some pics up but you have beat me too it just put back ones on now. and yours are way better photos AWY
    looks sweet.
in the info pack thing it gives details of light changes to the mot from 1st of jan and that they try and keep up with mot changes etc. most of it will be down to mot tester i would say.

Cheers Bud Yeah I think a fair amount will depend on who you get your MOT done by, I'm lucky I have friendly MOT friends so nothing really matters on my cars
