Ok, after months of following advice and getting to know what products are available, did my first *real* clean of the car paintwork today. 3 hours. I didn't factor in how tiring it would be, LOL

Anyway, car looks nice, and parked it in the sunshine now for a few hours.

I couldn't do all of that too often!

Wondering now if I should take the leap to an electric buffer/polisher. Anyone apply and buff paint cleaner and wax using one? The dodo lime prime bottle says it can be applied by machine.

Thanks for all the advice from you guys on this forum.

    Going for a lie-down now..

Driven around all day today, and some of the dreaded tree sap already. However, hopefully you can see the depth of shine. It's taken on an even deeper gloss and depth today. Better than when I picked it up from the dealer. I am a very happy man. I'd recommend the stuff I used:

    Sonus SFX clay
    Lime Prime
    Swissvax wax

Can't stop looking at it out the window, LOL - sad or what!

The sounds of your thread seems like you are pleased with the results thus far and could really get into this sort of thing. Warning, when you really start to enjoy it it starts to cost a fortune, ask Mark@Vorny lol.

The red looks lovely, credit to your efforts, just remind yourself even cars that roll out of showrooms never looks this nice!

As for polishers, I always apply everything but the final sealent by a polisher machine. Its much less work, better spread of the product evenly and it seems to work in deeper than conventional hand polishing.

I would say if you are looking to do this once a month or more then do invest in something like a Meguairs Dual Action Polisher.

BTW - you missed a bit
