Do you have to remove the carpet completely?.

You should be able to just remove the front seats and door trim and then fold the carpet inwards.

How wet are we talking?, How has it become wet? what are the connectors for?

Well got the carpets out - major job

TIS says front must be cut this is under the centre console so will not show, rear out in one piece.

There is upto 3" of foam on these carpets and the fact that there is a rubber layer under the pile means no way can these be dried in situ the car would have slowly rotted away.

My god these cars are so complex - ther must be 10 miles of wire. Any way now have found the offending connector that has corrosion causing the Airbag fault.

The floor base speakers and DSC module may also have succumbed to the water !

My wife taking bets the car will never run again !!
