As the title suggests, I bought the above a few weeks ago in Metallic Sapphire Black, on first inspection the car looked ok in need of a polish but nothing too bad.

After a wash and polish it looks like the front bumper has been following a gritter for 200 miles similarly the bonnet has numerous chips as do the front of the wings.

I've read the numerous posts about chipex and other at home remedies however none appear to give consistent results.

I've got a guy coming to look at the bumper and am going to see if he can touch in the bonnet and wings too, he is a chips away style repairer, have no idea of cost so would appreciate any ball park figures.

Also if anyone knows a bodyshop in the Renfrewshire/East Renfrewshire area that does good work please post them up.

    Cheers

I cant leave them! Everytime I clean the car I cant help staring at them arrgghh

Plus my 12 year old 328ci that sits next to it has about 4 stonechips that are noticable, why dont they make the primer on black cars a darker colour???

Ill be attacking it with my machine polisher when it arrives tomorrow so at least the swirl marks should disappear. Any one got any ideas what the mobile paint guy will be looking for pricewise??
