    Had both. Never liked the indicators on a facelift but preferred the grille arrangement and that swung it for me .

    Whichever, the E46 Coupe is still one damn fine looking car
    2013, Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, PDK, Sports Exhaust, Chrono, etc, etc

    i would say facelift.. not because i own it but because prelift looks a bit decent'ish than mean'ish. not that either of them are chav'ish lol

    if we are talking coupes, prefacelift. Persoanlly dont like the headlights on post i find them a bit shiny and chavy looking. I prefer the post facelift on the saloons though just because the prefacelifts look alot older than they are

    Yep agree with bimmer320, definitely 'preface' on coupes (more aggressive styling - they kept that look for M3, I believe). Saloons/tourings look better 'post', but early ones can be modernised slightly with clear indicators!

    Got too be honest if you stuck a pre facelift sport and a post facelift m sport infront of me without number plates and the front arches covered so I couldn't see the side repeaters I wouldn't be able to tell the difference..

    As far as I'm concerned the choice would be down to spec, wheels, bumpers and interior not year..
