lovely job! I have just spent 12 hours cleaning my M3 convertible. this almost puts my effort to shame! having t-cut and polished when bought, i have just discovered clay and used Autoglym's version to do the whole car yesterday... what a great result it gives... provides a super-smooth finish to apply a new coat of resin polish. Also used Renovo soft-top refurbishing products (about £70 for cleaner/renovator/sealer) on advice of a friend... highly recommended, roof looks like new.

what did you use on the exhaust? mine is filthy and considering duraglit, but not sure if that is too harsh. also, did you pressure wash the engine? again mine is dirty but save for a damp cloth wipe, I am reluctant to shower it in water... thoughts?

nice job, thanks for the pictures. I'm off to Autoglym cream the seats now :o)

    awesome job fella!!!!

how many of the scratches and things can be taken out this way? Just recently got a '98 Touring that has a few blemishes (as you'd expect) and it would be great to get rid of as many as possible without going the whole respray route.....

Thanks heavens for the garage eh!

keep up the good work mate.

out of curiosity, I have just cleaned the M3's exhaust with Cif cream!! well, if it apparently works on taps... it may not be as abrasive as some bespoke products but it has made a very dull tailpipe shine! comes recommended.

is it me, or is Roman's thumbnail more interesting than my story about the virtues of Cif?

    Holy thread revival batman.

Quite an old one but still nice to see, one of 3 M's I have done for David now, each one more challenging than the last.

For the exhaust pipes the easiest way for quick results is to use something like Autosol and grade #00 wire wool, slightly dampened to allow the polish a longer working time.
