Right, I'm finally going to get into gear and buy one of these today.
Sapphire black convertible flavour please eBay - buying from 'e.auto.bay2008' as he seems to have good feedback and a good selection of products.

Will post fitting pics when it arrives.

its not a genuine one but it did the job...paint has stayed good, the spoiler has to be bent to match the boots curve and i could've fitted it better...but overall i'm happy with it for less than 40 quid
Ditto - 40£ sprayed came in 4 days, it's not genuine (us beamer fanatics can tell - most wont notice) it's a bargain.

OK, I finally got round to this last night!

I ordered a lip spoiler from e.auto.bay on Thursday afternoon, it arrived MONDAY. From Thailand. Seriously?! I weas expecting this to take at least a week! Very impressed.

I should say I have no affiliation, commercial or social with e.auto.bay, (the seller) so this note is totally impartial.

Package arrives at work, long box, well wrapped. It serves its purpose as an 'anti-health and safety' device for a few hours as I employ it as a trip hazard for anyone that comes near my desk with anything resembling work.

I finally got round to fitting it last night so thought I'd share some observations.

    1) Flexibility
It is VERY flexible. The material it's made from bends very very easily, the spoiler itself flops about everywhere along its length, but remains firm across its width. On the convertible I needed to curl the spoiler (see photos) to match up the line with the edge of the boot. fingz999 had recommended blasting it with a hair dryer to warm it to aid flexing. I managed to flex it enough myself in the garage, but this might be a good plan.

    2) Tracing the 'line'
There were two of us putting the spoiler on so it wasn't so tough, but for one person I'd seriously considder getting some pieces of paper and drawing out the 'curve' that you need to make with the spoiler to bend it BEFORE installing. Four hands pressing down the spoiler to the boot with the adhesive in between prevented the middle section stretching back to its original shape which is tough to do if it isn't already flexed enough.

    3) Sticking
The underneath of the spoiler has two strips of very adhesive tape, probably M3 tape. Removing this all in one go is probably going to get you into problems if one end gets stuck to something while your working on the other. After some fiddling, we found that you can leave most of the tape ON the spoiler as you stick it down. The spoiler flexes enough that you can put down one end, then gradually remove the tape from underneath as you position the spoiler, moving down the lip of the boot. But NB, once it's stuck, it's pretty damn cemented down. I wouldn't want to know what state your paint would be in if you pulled it off!

These were just a few observations, but I hope they help. It took two of us about 5 minutes, and most of that was me polishing the lip of the boot prior to fixing! The spoiler is a perfect colour match.

Pretty simple, but devestatingly effective mod for less than £40! I'm VERY happy.

    Photos below!
