Hi I've noticed that when I jet wash the car water ingresses into the light unit that is built into each side of the boot lid.

It's got a green tint to it around the seal.

Question is can the unit be removed split open cleaned and resealed?

    cheers

Have you tried just taking the light units out and cleaning around the edges with an old toothbrush?

Thanks Steve - I think I can get to the green bits without removing the unit.

I'm a little worried though as when I worked my finger nail around the join it almost felt as if the external surface of the light would separate from that clipped to the car.

I didn't want to be stuck with a bit of plastic that wouldn't push back into place.

I was going to get the aftermarket LED replacement but looks like there are compatibility issues with them on a pre facelift car.

I'll have another look later in the week.

    cheers
