lol no mistilkempire started thread earlier and the ninja mods locked it saying to sort out thread title and then i see the same thread as a post here!

if theyre gonna take all the parts off like that then i would be inclined to think they will do a good job i know sprayers that charge around £800 and dont take much off at all!! but you get what you pay for, just try and see if you can assist them to bring price down like helping them mask or sand/rub down some painters would rather have someone else do the pardon the expression but "donkey" work.

    remove all trims and mouldings
    remove front and rear bumpers
    remove mirrors and handles
    remove lights and grills

    and then spray

he also advised me that for £1200 quid all they be doing is masking up and blowing it over £2000 is way out of my price range and i thought that's how they did it mask up and paint what do you guys think as i don't want to be paying £1200 for a blow over i can get a blow over for £500 would it be the same quality as the more expensive blow over
the other option is to have just both sides and front bumper done as the rest is good paint work but will the new paint show up the old also will i get problems with old and new being a metallic paint help really needed im stuck in a dilemma
logically i would think that the £1200 and £500 blow overs will differ in quality somewhat i think what the £1200 guy might of been suggesting is that he would not rub back to bare metal nor do the under bonnet stuff and literally what you see from the outside will be painted most likely including door shuts!

the $500 spray job would be literally the outside of the car with a quick "key up" of the surfaces to allow adheison of new paint.

two different guys/women with different termonology i would revisit both and get a deeper explaniation and agin ask if there is anything you can do to assist!

I've seen 2k sprays that look crap and 300 pound blowovers that look great, down to good prep and the willingness of the sprayer to want to do a professional job on it so prepare to travel to get the job your money deserves

i have too and i would go on recommendation rather than price. suggest you look at other cars that are being done when you visit to talk about prices etc, worth saving an extra £500-£600 to get a proper job! after all every time you clean the car some nut will point out the defaults! no matter how long it takes to get the difference in price saved up its gotta be worth it!

    where are you based???
