I've been going to see many E46 coupes recently for a friend of mine, as he is looking for a 318ci. All E46 BMW coupes I've seen with the front sport bumper, have been grazed at the bottom. This is obviously due to the lowness of the bumper fins and the increased likeliness of it scraping speed humps, slopes etc.
I'm just curious why BMW did not think of something to increase the protection of the bottom of the bumper, as it has a high likeliness of it being deformed when being in contact with a high ramp for example.
Is there any way I could use something to protect the bottom of my bumper (apart from a Clubsport splitter as I only have a 3mm gap between my bumper and the slope out of my driveway)?
Say for example I grazed the bottom of the bumper quite badly which resulted in the bottom being deformed, could this be repaired?
Who here has a E46 coupe with no grazes on the bottom of their bumper just out of curiousity?
