You all know that the E46 compact doesn't have the same front end styling like the rest of the E46 cars, The headlights on the Compact model differ from the coupe, sedan/touring models.

I like the look of the car, But In my opinion the front looks horrible spoils it.

Are the e46's compact front end's the same underneath just like the e36were, and can the e46 coupe, sedan/touring front be swapped for the crap compact front i.e headlights, indicators and bumper ect.

    short answer.. no..

you can get crap like headlight brows and chavvy rubbish like that if you want to make it worse..

if you get a m sport front bumper and modify the bonnet you can get a more coupe like front end if you so desire.. a lot of hard work though..

if you don't like the compact why don't you get an e46 coupe?? probably easier to be honest mate

A lad i know has one and he loves the car to bits he said it the best handling car he's had, And we discussed how we both dont like the front end and i told him how the e36 compact fronts are the same as the rest, And maybe the same would apply of the e48 ?

I said i wasnt to sure, So i thought i ask on here for him as i wouldnt like to give him false information.

can be done (like most things) - but money would be your main issue as it would cost muchos $$$$:

    * 2016 Mercedes Benz GLA 200d AMG Line (X156): current

    Pangster - that's ace!

I'd agree that the front end of a compact is a bit odd (bit too much Rover in the headlights). As said previously the Sport bumber does look better - the way I see it though, is that is has aged must better than the A3!

personally i dont mind the compact fronts though it looks much better with the m sport bumpers on. one day, if im brave enough and have the spare 1g it takes to buy spray and fit, then i might invest! till the compact 318ti is fun, handling is great and has enough kick when i need it.
