I would look for an original one mate, that one looks a bit crap if im honest, it will not look right with the rest of the kit. There are normally quite a few on ebay, one here for £80, will need all the bits etc and a re-paint http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-E46-SPORT-...3%3A1|294%3A50

To be honest mate I would stick to buying a original one, alot of the replica bumpers are made from crap moulds and for the sake of a little more £££ I would get the real thing, found another one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-BMW-E4...3%3A1|294%3A50

you may get one cheaper and if you need it painting you may get it for £100-£150 and they will prob fit it as well.

It looks like it has an insipid smile in that first link.

did anyone else notice the interesting (read scary) text in the ad?

'BUT PRE FIT IS RECOMMENDED FIRST BY PRO BODY SHOP WHAT KNOW HOW TO FIT GRP PRODUCTS'

I would read that as-- fits almost exactly but not quite the same as a genuine panel and will need work to make it fit your car'.
2002 325 Compact Sport ti M-Tec---- A little thanks goes a long way

Hi Scorpiod. Same happened to me last September. Thing is I drove 100 miles to and from work before I walked around the front of the car and noticed it was gone

Anyway, I did lots of Googling and found a guy from Luton who supplied me with an M-sport bumper. He sprayed it, supplied all the parts (Fogs, etc) and fitted it for £550. The only thing I had to but was the horn. He also had to do some rewiring as they snipped off the wires for the fogs, horn and outside temperatue gauge.

You should have no trouble finding someone to help you, because it's such a common occurance lately.

A word of warning though. I have read of some people getting a new one fitted, and that being stolen as well. One guy had it stolen 6 times.

My advice would be that once a new one is fitted, mix up some body filler and smear it on the end of the main bolts. Once set it would take an angle grinder to remove.
