    Hi to everyone

I'm just deliberating on replacing the backbox on my 2003 E46 320d Saloon or could I get away with a shiney new tailpipe?
I've just read a post saying that a downturned exhaust pipe (like mine) are designed to soot the road and so replacement tailpipes are not available?
I'd go for a new backbox if the price was reasonable and it had a nice tailpipe design, obviously not downturned.
Does anyone have any ideas or recomendations?

    Thanks in advance

if you go for a straight exit you stand the chance of getting soot on your bumper
if you dont mind that then powerflow or longlife could do you a one off, built on the car, your choice of tailpipe system.
not sure any of the exhaust makers (like scorpion) do owt for derv motors(never looked lol)
    what i've felt,what i've known
never shined through in what i've shown.

A Friend of mine brought a 330d Msport from the dealers and the rear tailpipes are striaght and shiney, so am wondering if this is a option. Regarding Powerflow, i will stay well clear of them! The qauilty is very poor and the grimmick of choosing your sound etc is a load of B****. All they do is get a backbox similar size to the original and weld the bleeder on.Once done, they will stand back with fingers cross hoping it sounds nice...which they certainly don't!!! Remember the old cherry bomb exhausts back in the mid 90's YES its that bad!!!

You want to be going for a top branded exhaust company like Sebring, remus or supersprint. Not sure if they do deisel, but its worth a try!

    Will

No mate I couldn't afford one so I just bought a black down turned tailpipe from the $tealers

There's plenty companies out there doing systems or backbox, iirc Motech do a backbox and I think Blueflame,
TorqueFlow & Ecotune do full decat systems so can't really recommend one over the other!
