Something that bugs me is with my arm on the armrest i can't reach the gear knob, so i'd like a sliding one.

Anyone know if i can retrofit one ?

And if so, finding a beige slider seems to be just about impossible, i've been thinking i could buy one with the built in phone as these are now unwanted, lots on ebay and swap the phone with one of the storage hole inserts....

Or can i buy the sliding bit and put my current armrest on it ??

i actually quite like the phone in mine!!!

it may be possible to use the base of the sliding one and retrofit the top of a static one to make a beige slider.

probably worth a look but no guarantee it'll work.

Do the phones still actually work ? I wouldn't want one but looks like it may be my only option and either remove it or just not use it.

There was one in a car in the scappy the other week but some tit had smashed the sliding bit on it getting the centre console out Cause it's so hard undoing two bolts.... FS!

my phone still works perfectly and only has a small lcd bleed on the screen, nothing major though. reads all my contacts so i can search through the dash controls if i really feel the need! the one thing you do need to do is use a sim card that is still in the credit card sized holder or selotape a normal sized one into an empty card as they are the older style huge sim cards!

my long term plan involves extending the phones cord so i can use it as a retractable anti-cycist device for when the lycra clad morons flock to the cheshire countryside in gaggles and block the roads!

Jax13 or anyone who has one, does your arm rest slide forward AND tilt up to reveal the storage bit under it ??
